However, physical proximity is not enough without data, and lots of it. Israel backs this need with nearly 100% digitized, longitudinal electronic health records (EHR) spanning almost three decades. This data is consolidated across four major health plans and represents a diverse population from around the globe.

What does this translate to in practice? Speed and validation. A neuroscientist can walk across the street to validate a concept with a clinician over coffee, secure risk-mitigating early funding from the Israel Innovation Authority and test the concept against real-world health data, all while larger enterprises are still scheduling preliminary committee meetings that can take weeks or months to finalize.

With a population of just under 10 million, Israel isn’t meant to be the end market for breakthrough medical innovation. Instead, it serves as an agile proving ground, the ultimate real-world pressure test for clinically viable solutions before they scale globally.
