Stress, medical illness, depression, and anxiety. My main interest is in medical illness and its relationship to psychological disorders as well as the misdiagnosis of these disorders and neurologic disorders.

I've attended internships in 2018 and 2019, in areas such as Neurology, ENT ( both clinical and surgery), General Surgery, Internal Medicine. I've also been in the O.R. of the ENT department, both observing and participating. I'm very passionate about Infectious Diseases and I would really like to help these column (along with the others) grow.

I am interested in how positive aspects of sexual well-being, such as sexual satisfaction, relate to risky sexual behavior among young adults. My research aims to utilize a strengths-based approach to human sexuality, to better understand how to prevent sexual violence, HIV transmission, and unintended pregnancy.

I am is a Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. I currently serve as the National Director of Quality and Research at PT Solutions Physical Therapy. I earned my BS in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Emory University, and I completed the PT Solution’s Orthopaedic Residency Program. I also serves as the Program Coordinator of the PT Solutions Orthopedic Residency Program and the Director of the Clinical Mentorship Program. My primary roles comprise of overseeing research efforts at PT Solutions, developing and teaching weekend continuing education courses, and developing quality improvement initiatives throughout the practice. I have numerous research publications in peer-reviewed rehabilitation and medical journals and has presented at national rehabilitation conferences. I am an active member of the Orthopedic and Research sections of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia. I currently serve on the APTA Science and Practice Affairs Committee and the PTAG Leadership Academy. In 2020, I received APTA-GA Emerging Leader Award. My areas of research focus are the dosage and timing of physical therapy, the impact of physical medicine on healthcare utilization, patient-perceived social support from healthcare providers, and the influence of ACL graft type on rehabilitation outcomes. I work with multiple universities, and I'm a staunch advocate of research collaborations between private practice and universities to facilitate pragmatic trials and translational science. Prior my role current role, I was the senior clinic director for the east Georgia market of PT Solutions, overseeing 10 physical therapy clinics. I am an avid reader, I (mostly) enjoys golf, and I love good food, wine, and bourbon.
