We attended the digital funeral today of an innocent victim, slaughtered in a horrific drive-by shooting. That victim was of course Ivermectin, a wonder drug that has over the last two decades saved countless lives. The vehicle involved was the pandemic and the vehicle’s occupants, none other than individuals from within the medical and wellness sectors.

To understand why people sworn to protect their patients at all costs would cross over to the dark side, we need to highlight facts that have surfaced over the last few months. Understanding motive will I hope also enable those who remain skeptical to accept the truth about Ivermectin.

It is not a treatment or prophylactic for Covid-19 or the SARS-CoV2 virus. It never was.

A small, as yet unvalidated possibility exists that it may offer some benefit to late-stage Covid-19 patients, but that remains inconclusive pending further research. Proving Ivermectin’s efficacy in early-stage Covid or as prophylactic poses very real, and some would argue, insurmountable methodological challenges.

All Ivermectin ever claimed to be, was an anti-parasitic drug. It is as much a victim of the intricate web of deceit and deception spun by certain individuals, as the intended targets, who consume it in the mistaken belief it offers salvation.

Let’s begin by examining how that web has begun to unravel and then we’ll take a closer look at those who engineered the deception and why.

The Preprint

Most of the scientific and medical community speaking up on behalf of Ivermectin used the following pre-print as validation for the efficacy of the drug as a Covid-19 treatment. The paper was called Efficacy and Safety of Ivermectin for Treatment and prophylaxis of COVID-19 Pandemic and the first of four versions was made available to the public on the 13th of November, 2020.

The preprint was published on researchsquare.com and if you click on the link above you will see that the preprint has been removed and an investigation initiated into the content and contributing authors. Why is explained below.

This is a preprint, a preliminary version of a manuscript that has not completed peer review at a journal. Research Square does not conduct peer review prior to posting preprints. The posting of a preprint on this server should not be interpreted as an endorsement of its validity or suitability for dissemination as established information or for guiding clinical practice.

Despite this, the preprint was seized upon, Google scholar showing 43 citations. In case you’re not familiar with publication terms, in scientific journals, a citation is a reference from a published article to a published paper (note, not a preprint) intended to provide confirmation or reference for content.

In short, 43 papers that have done exactly what the warning above suggests shouldn’t be done. Why this warning exists and preprints are broadly unreferenced in the scientific community became apparent as peer review set about validating the integrity of the data in the preprint and claims of plagiarism that had been leveled against the authors.

Examining the Data

Much like forensic auditors check for cooked books, forensic data analysts exist to sniff out anything fishy in sets of data. Nick Browne was tasked with examining the data used in the preprint to validate claims made relating to the efficacy of Ivermectin as a treatment for Covid-19. You can read a full breakdown of his analysis here if the summation below is insufficient.

The data file for the research was made available as a locked Excel spreadsheet, rather than an SPSS 21 file, the tool the preprint authors purported they had used for their analysis. Browne was forced to pay for access to the file and then had to manually guess at the password (1234) before gaining access to the Excel data. From there, things rapidly progressed from bad to worse.

Many of the patients who died appear to be duplicates. According to the original data, there were ‘four’ patients with the initials NME, NEM, and NES (twice), who were all males aged 51 years old, all suffered from diarrhoea(sic), had the same blood hemoglobin levels, were all diagnosed on the 22nd of May, and all died on the 29th of May 2020. They also all share identical values in at least four other data columns.

At least a further ten deceased patients also display evidence of being duplicated. Duplicates make up around half of the recorded deaths. Much of the patient data is identical, but minor changes exist, proving that a simple copy and paste error cannot be the cause of the duplicates.

In no particular order, and again, please refer to the linked report for specifics, Browne also identified issues with;

• Formatting
• Numbers containing non-numeric characters
• Confusion around date formats
• Repeated or cloned sequences of data
• Apparent failures of randomization
• Descriptive statistics that did not match the preprint
• Table results that do not match the preprint
• Other issues included age distribution, trailing digits of numerical variables, study entry and exit dates, and last, but not least, the lack of the SPSS file.

In summation, Browne arrived at the following conclusion;

In view of the problems described in the preceding sections, most notably the repeated sequences of identical numbers corresponding to apparently “cloned” patients, it is difficult to avoid the conclusion that the Excel file provided by the authors does not faithfully represent the results of the study, and indeed has probably been extensively manipulated by hand.

We aren’t limited by Browne’s proclivity for professional restraint so we’ll call it as he saw it. The data provided for the preprint are a largely concocted fairy tale, an ambitious con designed to mislead. Manipulation of the data was not accidental but rather intentional, engineered to support very specific predetermined outcomes, for reasons we will examine below.

Plagiarism

Lead-authored by Dr. Ahmed Elgazzar, a Professor Emeritus at the University of Behna, the preprint claimed to represent the results of a multi-center, 600-patient study evaluating the use of ivermectin in preventing and treating COVID-19.

The author’s claims centered around the following;

• Ivermectin significantly reduced both the number of deaths and the length of patient’s hospital stay compared to standard Egyptian treatment protocols
• Ivermectin exhibited a substantial effect in preventing the onset of the disease in the first place, in other words, it acted as a prophylactic against the virus.

The article by Jack Lawrence we will reference with regards to the above can be read in full here, and again, we have provided a summation of his findings below. There are numerous instances in the preprint of text being lifted directly from an original source and not credited. In a schoolboy fashion, the authors have tried to obfuscate the plagiarism by changing a few words in each extract.

A schoolboy could be chastised and excused for similar behavior, but there can be no excuse offered by the preprint author, Elgazzar, who would be intimately familiar with protocols surrounding scientific publications. The preprint is littered with further examples of plagiarism and Larence uncovered further unethical actions pertaining to the study.

While the disclosures above may shock some, they pale in comparison to what is to follow, namely acknowledging the extent of duplicity and malintent by members of the medical community across the globe. Doctors, scientists, pharmacists, alternate health practitioners, and individuals from the wellness sector have teamed up to exploit vulnerable patients for financial gain in the midst of a pandemic.

That is the only logical and unavoidable conclusion that can be drawn from the Ivermectin fiasco and avoiding confronting this unpleasant reality prevents us from protecting vulnerable patient populations.

Acknowledging the Grift

Medika first became aware of Ivermectin and its ability to kill the SARS-CoV2 virus in a paper in Nature, released in mid-2020. We published an article, highlighting the results, achieved in vitro, and suggested, like others, that immediate trials should be undertaken to see if the effects could be replicated in vivo.

The pandemic was gaining momentum and there would be no shortage of willing trial candidates. The problems though were obvious at the outset. Ivermectin had successfully killed the test tube sample in a laboratory, but achieving similar dosage levels in human subjects was highly inadvisable and patently unachievable without endangering the patient’s health.

Conducting broad-scale trials at tolerable dosages should have been a priority for either the FDA or a recognized European health authority. No one stepped up to conclusively prove or disprove the potential of Ivermectin as a Covid treatment. The lack of credible trials was potentially driven by an industry-wide skepticism of the drug’s ability to impact viruses (it is an anti-parasitic) and although this rationale made sense to scientific circles, the public was unable to make the connect.

A potential ‘treatment void’ had been unintentionally created for Ivermectin and it was into this void, as is so often their want, that the grifters stepped, seizing an opportunity to co-opt the pandemic for profit on a global scale.

Plumbing the dark depths of deception

India was one of the countries that fully embraced the grift. Provincial authorities distributed Ivermectin as a Covid treatment to residents and other countries, notably South American populations, followed suit.

Proving the efficacy of a treatment is often far simpler than disproving its efficacy and the grifters took full advantage, distributing their ‘Covid treatment’ via the global digital conspiracy network surrounding the pandemic. They assured the public that the drug was being intentionally withheld and the rest is history. Across the internet, both the public and many from within the medical community bought into the Ivermectin lie.

A lie that was cemented in many minds as fact by anecdotal evidence, falsified data and manipulated trials like the one conducted by Elgazzar and his colleagues. It is far easier to believe a convenient lie than face an unpleasant truth.

Doctors (the term is used loosely) have taken advantage of a vulnerable patient population to sell them drugs and in case you think this deplorable behavior was limited to non-western countries, the evidence suggests the west drove the trend. This is not simply supposition but fact.

In the US, rapidly formed organizations like America’s Frontline Doctors, a despicable congruence of dishonest doctors, pharmacists, and marketing individuals set about creating the ultimate pill mill for not only Ivermectin but the other darling of Covid conspiracies, hydroxychloroquine. You can read more on that here, including comments from exploited patients, shown below the article.

This pattern of profiting by deception from the sale of Ivermectin and other Covid cures continues unabated. We have unintentionally created the environment where large sums of money can be made from misleading the public in the midst of a pandemic. The fact the public’s health may be forfeit is irrelevant to the quacks and charlatans claiming to be healers.

These individuals are doctors, nurses, pharmacists, caregivers, and individuals of science. The lie could not exist without their duplicity and in many instances, the lie exists at their instigation. It is a hard truth to face and one we look away from. We need to openly acknowledge this and develop effective methods to prevent future occurrences.

Ivermectin’s lasting legacy should not be as the drug that failed to treat Covid and fooled the world. It should be seen as the drug that taught the world about a bitter pill, one we need to swallow now, lest we repeat history.

Like an annoying foot fungus that just refuses to die, these quacks, armchair experts, so-called health gurus, and, yes, even doctors (interject a sad sigh at this point) have continued to issue dire warnings about the end of humanity.

We aren’t going to all perish from Covid of course (they will all tell you it actually doesn’t exist) but from the vaccines and evil Orwellian plots hatched by mad scientists and power-hungry politicians hell-bent on re-ordering the world. It is mass genocide or at best genetic re-engineering of the species, according to their siren song.

Clearly pissed that their Netflix subscriptions have lapsed, these individuals have taken it on themselves to weave their own tales of fantasy and fiction. Each new ‘series’ has its own plotline, villains, and heroes, and of course, is set in their version of a dystopian world. The same place most of us currently consider home.

The pitfall of calling tomorrow

If you’re trying to establish yourself as a seer of the future, you’re best suited to picking your predictions for a time that postdates your demise. The turn of the century, remember the impending global meltdown, and 2012 with those pesky Mayans and their calenders, just two classics that spring to mind.

Unless you’re onto a sure thing, outliving your predictions generally tends to be awkward and it’s been no different for our intrepid group of Covid naysayers and end-of-world scriptwriters. One by one, their predictions have come to naught. Nada. Nothing. Their predictions have exposed them for the true fraudsters and charlatans they really are.

Hindsight really is a bitch and in this instance, a highly effective antifungal. Rember the foot fungus analogy?

So just how have these con artists been proven wanting by the passage of time? We investigated a few of our older friends that we fact-checked months ago. It’s interesting to note how in many instances the original claims (ain’t digital history a bitch) made by many of these individuals have been subtly refined over time to accommodate for that annoying little thing called being horribly wrong.

Geert Van Den Bossche

In a simplified nutshell, Van Den Bossche’s pitch was based on selling us his version of a vaccine (the grift) after convincing us that mainstream vaccines (the competition) were going to cause a mutated virus that would end humanity. So, nearly a year later, or eighteen months on, in the case of trial candidates, where are we?

Aside from racking up an impressive amount of internet traffic from gullible and trusting souls seeking an explanation for their pandemic-induced misery, Van Den Bossche’s theory has so far proven completely unfounded. Despite having half the human population (that’s how many are now vaccinated) as incubators, Van Den Bosch’s killer virus appears to have gone golfing.

Perhaps he’d be better placed if he joined it.

Reiner Fuellmich

The punchline to possibly the worst legal joke ever constructed, Fuellmich propelled himself into popular conspiracy culture in early 2021. His rise was meteoric and his fanbase legion. We called bullshit early and have paid the price ever since, receiving literally thousands of comments and emails wishing us well (not really).

Fuellmich wanted, and we assume still does until the next best thing comes along, to sue the world for the SARS-CoV2 virus, claiming it didn’t really exist, Covid, according to Fuellmich wasn’t dangerous and lockdowns and mask had somehow managed to elevate themselves from effective countermeasures against a viral pandemic to crimes against humanity.

Not even the unfortunate Geneva Convention could escape Fuellmichs manic ambitions as he invoked ludicrously inappropriate responses to what he claimed were atrocities against humanity. You can see, of course, how people would lap this stuff up and why he’s developed such a devout following. People want a scapegoat to pin their misery on and who better than the large faceless behemoth we call modern society and all its appendages.

Eight months later and our intrepid attorney has made zero forward progress, mired as he is in the conspiracy circuit, his followers proving that the worshippers really do define the cult. Associate yourself with the chaff and the swine will feed.

Time has already eroded this deluded German’s fairytale and the lasting legacy of Fuellmich will undoubtedly be as the world’s most audacious and ambitious legal fraudster of all time. He really has raised the bar (pun intended).

America’s Frontline Doctors

I’ve included these grifters as a simple example of training wheels. They are by no means in the class of Fuellmich or Van Den Bossche, as their motives and narrative are simplistic and as transparent as daylight, but it doesn’t make them any less dangerous and as doctors, sworn to uphold the best interest of their patients, their actions are reprehensible.

Essentially, the group is a collection of morally bankrupt doctors who have clubbed together to fleece the public during the pandemic by selling them unproven treatments.

They aren’t alone and there are other similar groups that operate, but this group is perhaps most prominent on social media, thanks to its more than dubious membership, which includes the January 6 revolutionary, Dr. Simone Gold, currently under FBI investigation.

Their claims are simplistic – Buy Hydroxychloroquine or Ivermectin from us online. It works to cure Covid and the government and the media don’t want you to know about it. They have partnered with an equally unethical pharmaceutical supplier called Ravkoo Pharmacy and the two parties grift their merry way through the pandemic, fleecing gullible and vulnerable patients online.

Sadly, many bought into their lies, but time has exposed just how dodgy their business model is, false claims aside. You can read the reviews here from dissatisfied customers who lose their money and never receive anything.

In terms of their actual claims about these drugs treating Covid we now know beyond a reasonable doubt, they don’t help. Here’s the latest on Ivermectin and how we’ve been fooled into thinking the drug has benefits against Covid.

How have vaccine fairy tales faired?

Elon Musk is advertising for vaccinated astronauts with cellphones to man his Mars mission. Apparently, the vaccines boost reception.

Complete nonsense of course, but believed by many. People have, over the course of the pandemic proven themselves more than capable of believing in pretty much anything, no matter how ‘out there’ it sounds, and much of what floats about in the conspiracy ecosphere really is ‘out there’. Way out. The fact that much of this nonsense has been amplified by seemingly sane medical professionals doesn’t help.

In no particular order, here are some of the insane theories that have proven to be completely unfounded over time. Keep in mind we’ve just vaccinated half the world’s population.

• the vaccines will magnetize your body (this actually sounds useful)
• the vaccines contain trackers that allow the government to monitor your movement
• The vaccines interact with 5G cell towers
• We are all going to turn into genetically modified lizards
• The vaccine will render all women sterile (arguably not a bad thing if you consider the stupidity above)

My most recent favorite comes from a doctor, Ben Marble, whose license to practice was revoked in one state in 2012 and he has now resumed his less than illustrious career in Florida (where else).

Where to start. Aside from the fact Twitter clearly isn’t policing anti-vax posts aggressively enough, a simple observation. “All Americans” would, I assume include almost every race-based classification of humanity that exists on the planet. Ergo, everyone will die. It’s this kind of stupidity that almost beggars belief. Who would set about wiping out the entire human species? Doesnt really leave you with anyone to exploit, does it?

Does Marble think the virus does a nationality check first, weighs its intended victim, and then checks for skin color? Do you hear that knocking at the door doctor? It’s the men with the white coats and they’ve got a cozy, padded 3 x 3 waiting just for you.

Not one, in other words, NONE of the ridiculous claims made over the vaccines have come to fruition, despite them being administered in billions, and yet, people still choose to believe they pose a risk to us. People still choose to believe the virus does not pose a threat.

So there you have it. Simple quick, easy access to medicines that could potentially prove fatal (HCQ) to you. Just hop online and pay your $90. 

In case you’re wondering why people are still so concerned about contracting the SARS-CoV2 virus in a largely vaccinated American public, the answer is simple. This group and its advocates refuse to vaccinate themselves or their children.

For the unvaccinated, Covid still poses a huge risk and many of these individuals will end up in ICU facilities across the country over the next few months, placing yet further demands on America’s depleted public health resources. There is also no conclusive evidence to suggest hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin are effective prophylaxis or treatments for Covid-19, so the AFLDS is potentially exposing thousands of Americans to real harm.

Actions you’d be hard-pressed to explain away as being supportive of the Hippocratic oath.

Buy the Lie

On the surface, AFLDS sells a hugely believable front, supported in no small part by their abundance of medical degrees and qualifications. Any layman looking at the site can be easily forgiven for being sucked into the con. The AFLDS’s main mouthpiece is none other than January 6 insurrection debutante, Dr. Simone Gold, currently awaiting trial for her part in storming the Capitol.

Now whilst most Americans would immediately do a double-take on this news, for the New Republicans, hell-bent on destroying America’s democracy, Gold’s presence in AFLDS serves more as a recommendation than a discouragement. Anti-vaccine propaganda (AFDLDS are anti-vaccine) litters their site and in their latest publicity stunt, they have turned to the courts to create more media furor.

On the 20th of May 2021, they filed a petition in the US District Court of Alabama, requesting a temporary injunction on covid vaccines being administered to children. Gold’s name is noticeably absent from the list of plaintiffs, for obvious reasons.

AMERICA’S FRONTLINE DOCTORS, ETC.; and DR. SCOTT JENSEN, MD, Individually; and ELLEN MILLER, Individually and as Guardian of 3 Minor Siblings; and JODY SOBCZAK, Individually and as Father of 2 Minor Children; and DEBORAH SOBCZAK, Individually and as Mother of 2 Minor Children; and LYLE BLOOM, Individually and as Father of 2 Minor Children; and, JULIE BLOOM, Individually and as Mother of 2 Minor Children; and ANDREA MCFARLANE, RN Individually and as Mother of 4 Minor Children; and JENNIFER GREENSLADE, Individually and as Mother of 2 Minor Children; and ….

In their claim, they state the following. Sections in parenthesis added by the author;

the injections (Covid Vaccines) are dangerous biological agents that have the potential to cause substantially greater harm than the COVID-19 disease itself, and numerous laws have been broken in the process of granting these EUAs and pushing these injections on the American people.

Like many other radical, conspiracy-based groups AFLDS has turned to alternate closed social media groups like Telegram to avoid censure on more traditional platforms.

And they’re not sitting about idly either. Gold and her entourage of Covid Vaccine doubters have taken their carnival show on the road, exploiting every Republican-based organization they can reach on their meandering path across the US.

The irony of a group of doctors running about across America bad-mouthing another group of doctors, and then expecting people to believe them because, well, “they’re doctors” cannot be lost on many.

If you’re in the market for accurate and evidence-based health advice we strongly recommend avoiding the AFLDS. If you come across one of their many shill’s advertising their services online, ignore them. Should you happen to see one of the shows advertised, save yourself some time and sanity. Go and watch a movie instead. It’s also fiction, but it isn’t going to harm your health.

That step too far

By associating with QAnon, radical elements, and anti-vaccine campaigners these doctors lend legitimacy to the causes they seek to exploit for financial gain. To many Americans, the goal of a “New Republic” isn’t merely a pipe dream but something they want to see realized.

A new regressive version of America, filled with racism, sexism, outdated religious doctrine, and free of reason and the rule of law. AFLDS would like to offer its services to this vision of America. All you need to access healthcare is your $90 and an internet connection. If they get their way, there’s going to be an awfully long hold before that telehealth call is connected.

They are playing a dangerous game and one that time itself will unravel as all their wild allegations about vaccine experimentation fall by the wayside. The concern now is how many innocent patients they lead astray in the interim, how many people have their health compromised by a group of individuals who swore an oath to protect them.

Dr. Simone Gold (a term very loosely applied) is a particularly nasty and manipulative founding member of this quack Kabal that now plans to go “on the road”. One wonders whether the logic is that they’ll be harder to arrest if they’re on the move continuously. Gold was recently sought by the FBI to answer questions on what she was doing reading speeches in the Capitol building on the 6th of January alongside other seditionists and rioters, so she’s probably best placed to answer this question. They might also consider rebranding as Doctors on the Run, just a suggestion.

Gold was subsequently arrested and charged and her questioning of vaccine safety was underscored the day before the Capitol attack, when she urged a rally near the White House not to take FDA-approved vaccines, labeling them “an experimental biological agent deceptively named a vaccine” and telling the crowd not to let themselves be “coerced”.

Gold is a product and creation of the Christian right Council for National Policy (CNP), paid and instructed to spread medical misinformation that supported the Trump agenda. We’ll refrain from using the term commonly associated with women who sell their services for money, but there are few instances where its use would be more applicable.

Simone Gold and her cronies may seem to suggest in their “cute” press release that they’re setting off down the long and dusty road with Toto, Tinman, and the Cowardly lion to save Oz, but the truth is they’re the actual precursor for the villagers and their pitchforks. America’s Frontline Quacks are purveyors of gasoline and matches and their RV is marketing directly to the gullible villagers. Ask yourself honestly what really concerned, motivated and compassionate doctors would be doing if they wanted to change the world.

It’s called Unicef or Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without borders), not an RV cruise around the Republican-dominated states spreading further vaccine mistrust and disrupting consumer confidence in American healthcare. America’s Frontline Doctors are a subversive carnival sideshow with bottles of Snake Oil they’d like to sell you and Simone Gold is the dancing, singing monkey that fronts the show. I do hope Dr. Stella Immanuel will be joining them. The thought of evil spirits being exorcised on stage adds tremendous viewer appeal and in my humble opinion would definitely sell seats.

America’s Frontline Doctors are a cheap commercialized version of the old traveling medicine man, and he used to sell cocaine as a cure-all, lest you forget. If its. not hydroxychloroquine and vaccine misinformation they’re peddling, it will be something else. It’s easy to tell when they’re lying. Their lips move.

By no small coincidence the tour is kicking off with a Southern Leg. Color us surprised. We’d recommend lodging complaints with individual state medical boards about the continued actions of these faux doctors that disrespect and abuse their qualifications for profit and at the expense of public health.

Now, all we’re left to wonder about is what defense Simone Gold is going to offer for her part in the January 6 assault on the Capitol. As “Foxitiss” has already been taken, perhaps she can go with an overdose of hydroxychloroquine as a defense. There is of course always the fallback of one of Dr. Imannuel’s wayward spirits. If you can blame Fox, then pretty much all bets are off.

We’d also recommend avoiding any of the Public Relations companies mentioned in the release, notably Empire Solutions, that continue to enable and promote America’s Frontline Doctors unless of course, your brand prefers the company of seditionists and con artists.

They are doing all this for money and they need to be stopped.

We are not referring to the healthcare heroes on the frontlines of the Covid-19 pandemic, but a group of medical misfits that have appropriated the name America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLD), as a moniker for their motley band of quacks and con artists. They are extremely dangerous, with ties to radical conservative extremists, witchcraft, paranoia, conspiracies, and do not possess a shred of actual experience dealing with Covid patients on the frontlines of the pandemic. They are, in short, frauds, exploiting a pandemic for their own financial gain.

They are, and we are ashamed to admit it, doctors. Doctors, however, in name only and that is the intent of this article. If, like so many of us, you would like to see the end of their orchestrated campaign of covid misinformation and attacks on the covid vaccine, join us in deplatforming their social media, reporting them to their individual medical boards, and filing reports with the Department of Justice. They are an affront to the medical profession and a danger to public health.

Their website blatantly tries to combat official Covid-19 advice and destroy public confidence in the covid vaccines for reasons we will explain below. Here is a screenshot from their website where they refer to the vaccines as experimental. This is a false and misleading statement.

They continue to spread advice about hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for Covid despite this having been publically disproven by open studies conducted under the auspices of the World Health Organization and other medical boards. They continue to question the efficacy of masks, thereby encouraging the spread of the virus. Their actions will lead to trusting members of the public accepting their advice and people will die as a result of severe Covid-19. It could be someone close to you.

If you want to protect vulnerable members of your community, register your outrage by contacting the links in the footer of this article or reporting the individual doctors to their relevant medical boards (shown below each doctor listed below).

If you don’t think they pose a risk, then have a look at their petition to stop the covid vaccines. If they were to have their way, your grandparents, parents, and at-risk sectors of our community would be facing Covid-19 without the benefit of a vaccine. Still, think they aren’t dangerous?

Incidentally, no one is enforcing the covid vaccine. That is patently untrue and under the American constitution, you cannot be forced into taking a vaccine. It remains a personal choice.

Their website displays a whole range of supposed “hydroxychloroquine home treatments” for Covid-19, the suggestion a clear one. You can treat Covid-19 at home. This is untrue, not based on any verifiable clinical data and in flagrant breach of the FDA’s policy of advertising cures or treatments for Covid-19. The following screenshot is again taken from their website, in the event they should remove it.

To be clear, there are no home treatments for Covid-19. If you suspect you have contracted the coronavirus, please quarantine and if you are in an at-risk category, dial 9-1-1 and seek immediate medical help.

Why all the effort?

Great question and as will all these cons, profit is at the heart of the sales pitch. In this instance, it wasn’t even very well hidden. Initially, politics and Trump’s agenda to reopen America provided funding and impetus for this group. With those agenda’s now behind them, the business has been repurposed for profit.

Convince the American public you have the cure for Covid-19 in the form of hydroxychloroquine and then proceed to supply it to them through your network of unethical doctors, who are only too happy to write out prescriptions that a complicit pharmacy then fills.

Here’s how the chain works, not that it’s important, but it will provide a roadmap for the FDA and DOJ to follow. I encourage any journalists who want to explore and expose existing relationships between these entities to investigate further.

Step 1: American Frontline Doctors – The marketing arm

They discredit conventional Covid-19 treatments and scare people off the vaccine in favor of hydroxychloroquine, which as we all know, isn’t that simple to get hold of anymore. They achieve this with a concerted campaign of misinformation and pseudoscientific materials published on their website and spread through social media. They become visible, they become political and they become radical. At the top of their site is a link to purchase hydroxychloroquine, which takes you to this page.

Step 2: Speakwithanmd.com – Distribution

You cant shift your product, which, annoyingly, requires a prescription, without the necessary paperwork. How do you address this across numerous states? Easy, you hook up with an online service that allows your network of doctors to prescribe to their heart’s delight, state by state. Possibly the cleverest bit of the con. You can see the network on this page and I suspect having a look at the prescriptions issued by these doctors would make for fascinating reading.

Here’s what their page says about America’s Frontline Doctors on Speakwithanmd;

• America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS) are available in every state. Physician Consult Fee is $90. We see patients between 7 am and 9 pm and we will try hard to see you on the day you contact us but it could be the next day.

• Through telemedicine we can offer convenient and affordable healthcare services to patients. Telemedicine is an excellent option for nonemergency situations, including prophylactic (preventive) and early (home) treatment of COVID-19.

• Our physicians are hydroxychloroquine knowledgeable and fully aware of the science and data regarding its safety and efficacy.

Step 3: Ravkoo Pharmacy – Fulfillment

Linked on their page on Speakwithanmd.com is Ravkoo Pharmacy. Officially, according to America’s Frontline Doctors, partnered with them to ensure all the scripts are quickly filled and dispatched. We have reached out to the Ravkoo CEO, Alpesh Patel for comment regarding their association with AFLD, but have not, at the time of publication, received a response.

Cutting the head off the snake

Let’s start with the originator or founder of AFLD, Dr. Simone Gold. Her most recent claim to fame is a photograph of her in the Capitol building, surrounded by her fellow protestors, after having forcibly gained entry. Her statement that she did not know it was illegal to enter the building should be seen for what it is. Complete bullshit.

She is a trained Stanford lawyer. Ignorance, claimed or otherwise, is not acceptable as a legal defense. You lie, Ms. Gold, and you should be locked up, along with your other seditious conspirators.

Simone Gold, MD, JD, is a board-certified emergency physician in Los Angeles, California. You can view her current status here. She graduated from Chicago Medical School before attending Stanford University Law School to earn her Juris Doctorate degree. Impressed? Well, don’t be. We all know education is not a prerequisite for either common sense, morals, or ethics, none of which Ms. Gold appears to possess.

Her California medical license includes her unverified claim that she is involved in patient care 30-39 hours per week and indicates a practice location in Hesperia, a bedroom community of about 100,000 at the edge of the Mojave Desert. Efforts to determine where specifically she may practice were unsuccessful.

Any platform offering medical advice alongside the sale of the founder’s book and featuring prominent “donate” buttons all over the site is by definition, highly suspect. The strapline Gold uses to advertise their site “Empowering patients and physicians with independent, evidence-based medicine.” is laughable. There is no hard evidence-based medicine taking place in their deluded world.

The quotes Gold references from reputable sources are taken out of context or reflect earlier views, now scientifically repudiated. No sane doctor or medical student would waste five minutes on the journals or papers she uses to justify her flawed agenda. Simply put, Dr. Simone Gold and her band of merry co-conspirators are trying to pull the wool over your eyes for personal financial gain. She is trying to mislead you and is, in effect, threatening your life and the lives of others.

To clarify just how radical her medical views are, let’s take an excerpt from one of her websites, where she responds to a comment on an article she wrote on maks.

then, given these big neocons’ vaccination programs intentionally spreading sterility (as well as thimerosol-caused autism, & even the very diseases being vaccinated against, esp. measles & polio);

Perhaps, Ms. Gold, you would care to explain why that anti-vaccine stance doesn’t quite gel with your comments on your petition website. Here they are, in case you’ve forgotten making them.

SMD & AFLDS is NOT “anti-vaxx” or in any other form to be considered or mislabeled as disapproving of established, reputable vaccines when taken voluntarily without coercion. 

Gold first rose to notoriety when she appeared in a viral video touting hydroxychloroquine back in July of 2020. She was accompanied by Stella Immanuel, MD (we exposed Immanuel’s quackery/witchcraft here), James Todaro, MD, Bob Hamilton, MD,Dan Erickson, DO, Richard Urso, MD and Joseph Ladapo, MD, PhD.

In a later article from the Washington Spectator exposing more lies about the media face of Simone Gold and the Republican-backed politics and people enabling her, Emergency physician Nick Sawyer, disturbed by the implications for medical practitioners that Gold and the AFLD poses, had this to say.

The America’s Frontline Doctors campaign, he says, “violates two of the primary principles of medical ethics. Medical ethics has four major principles: beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, and justice. As hydroxychloroquine offers no clinical benefit and may be harmful, it violates the first two tenets. Further, their statements place actual frontline physicians treating patients with Covid-19 in conflict with patients’ right to autonomy.

To have Simone Gold’s medical license investigated, you will need to place a formal complaint with California’s medical licensing authority. This link will take you directly to the Califonia Medical Board’s page for filing a complaint online. Gold is not acting in the interest of public health and her outspoken views and advice on the coronavirus, masks, social distancing, lockdowns, and the covid vaccine are not in keeping with her profession’s very clear overriding mandate – First do no harm.

Here is information on the other medical voices that have lent support to Gold and enabled her reach online and on Social Media. They are, in Medika’s opinion, incidental and Gold is the driving force behind AFLD.

James Todaro, MD

Todaro, an ophthalmologist based in Michigan who is no longer practicing, graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2014. His medical license, which was classified as “educational limited” in Michigan, expired in 2019. According to his LinkedIn profile, Todaro has not practiced medicine since 2018. He co-founded an investment fund called Blocktown Capital.

Bob Hamilton, MD

Hamilton, a pediatrician and school liaison with America’s Frontline Doctors, has been practicing in Santa Monica, California — home to his private practice, Pacific Ocean Pediatrics — for more than 30 years. He has hospital privileges at Providence-St. John’s Health Center and the UCLA-Santa Monica Medical Center. He has been vocal in suggesting schools re-open, citing no risk to children from Covid-19

Dan Erickson, DO

Erickson is the co-owner of Accelerated Urgent Care in Bakersfield, California. He is a former emergency physician, according to reports, who was featured on national television in late April after he claimed data his center had collected showed that COVID was more widespread and less harmful than reported in medical journals.

The American College of Emergency Physicians and American Academy of Emergency Medicine issued a joint statement condemning Erickson’s claims, calling them “reckless and untested musings” that are “inconsistent with current science and epidemiology regarding COVID-19.”

Richard Urso, MD

Urso is an ophthalmologist at Houston Eye Associates in Bellaire, Texas, who has been touting HCQ for COVID-19. He told Fox News host Laura Ingraham earlier this month that he has been working with the drug for 30 years and has never had a patient with a heart issue.

He also said during that interview that HCQ was “safer than Tylenol, aspirin, Motrin.” In 2003, Urso paid a $1,500 fine to resolve allegations that he didn’t provide a narrative of medical records to an attorney for a patient’s personal injury lawsuit.

Joseph Ladapo, MD, PhD

Ladapo is a physician and health policy researcher at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine, according to his UCLA profile. His primary research interests include diagnostic technology cost-effectiveness and decreasing cardiovascular disease population burden. He is also an adjunct professor of population health at New York University-Langone, a spokesperson confirmed and sees patients at Langone Medical Center.

He has cared for COVID patients at UCLA, he wrote in a Wall Street Journal editorial in early April, though that could not be confirmed (a UCLA Medicine spokesperson declined to answer questions and said Ladapo declined to comment). On the Supreme Court steps, he said nothing about treating COVID-19 patients himself.

Confused about Covid? Hell yes, who isn’t and you have every right to be. People are lying to you and feeding you misleading information every day. Almost all businesses do it, politicians and the media do it and more recently, a new group has joined their ranks. So-called medical experts — many of whom hold actual qualifications in their ‘fields of expertise’ — are now also misleading you about Covid-19 and a host of other health-related issues.

Misguided, Misdirected Medical Mayhem

The key difference between these self-styled “health guru’s’ and your run of the mill politician or media company, is that following their advice can scar you emotionally, cripple your life and your health, bankrupt you — it is your money and blind allegiance they covet — and at worst, lead to your death. They are, what we refer to when we talk about Predatory Health practitioners.

The list below will highlight, by name, some of the most prominent purveyors of Covid-19 falsehoods. You may have already fallen for their self-serving propaganda. It is easy to do. Most of the individuals listed are charismatic, intelligent, educated and some even enjoy the respect of colleagues within their profession. They appear beyond reproach and they specialize in mixing scientific facts with pseudo-science and new age fallacy, little bits of truth to support their larger lie.

They are dangerous, unethical, and empowered as never before by social media platforms that reward their controversial views with algorithms that promote their voices. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and a host of others are all willing participants. Controversy is good for business.

The list has been prepared by Medika Life in the interests of public safety during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We process masses of information on the pandemic. Research, opinions, and all the latest news and we afford everyone an equal, impartial opportunity to be heard, no matter their views. Opinions are judged based on supporting figures, verifiable data, and the voices we are privy to from within the medical community reflecting the true impact of Covid in hospitals across the US. We don’t publish one mantra but try to address all aspects of the Covid-19 virus and this is where you come in.

It is an impossibly complex web of information, misinformation, conspiracies, for lack of a better term (yes, they do actually exist within the industry) to try and disseminate. Even experts hold up their hands in confusion and yes, medically trained professionals are as susceptible to being misled as the public. They too rely on data and advice from within the industry and its governing bodies. The Covid-19 pandemic and our global responses have rapidly devolved into a multi-layered cluster-fuck of monumental proportions and again, you have every right to be confused.

You are required to exercise your free will, to inform yourself and to form an independent opinion based on ACTUAL FACTS supported by research that is above reproach. Sadly, of late, even giants like the CDC have been questioned and found wanting. So too with research. Not all of it is to be trusted. In choosing your sources for reliable information, it is as important to know whom you shouldn’t trust.. Here then the criteria, for the sake of fairness and transparency, that we apply to arrive at the list below.

Our Fallacy Filters

This list is based on a single FACT. Covid-19 can kill you and depending on any comorbidities you may exhibit, an unfortunate possession of a gene, and your age, that risk can increase exponentially. This is a fact, as inescapable as the rise and setting of the sun. All else is open to conjecture and sensible debate, as it should be. However, anyone whose statements attempt to diminish the risks of Covid-19 to the public falls foul off the filter. They are endangering the public’s life. Your life and my life.

This one simple fact places them at odds with the basic premise of the medical profession — first do no harm. Our Filters we use are these.

• Do the views espoused encourage individuals to expose themselves to risk from Covid-19?
• Are the views promoted harmful to the health of the community at large?
• Is there a fusion of proven medical science with unrelated and unsubstantiated pseudo-science?
• Are unrelated and unproven alternate health concepts and beliefs introduced through the selective use of proven but unrelated facts?
• Is the individual or business abusing its position within the industry to spread disinformation?
• Are the agendas presented associated with or tied in any way to anti-vaccine groups, conspiracy theorists, and new-age spiritualism?
• Is there financial motivation, political, social gain, or other to the parties involved in the message they are conveying?

Answering yes to the questions above will place you firmly on Medika’s naughty list. What matters here is that the general public recognizes the importance of these criteria. You can use them to objectively judge news you encounter on a daily basis. If it isn’t free of the above, then chances are there is an agenda involved, one that does not include consideration for your individual health or wellbeing.

Medium recently released a list of trustworthy sources for Covid-19. None of the names on our list appear on their list and the Medium list is an excellent if slightly biased resource for science-based information on the pandemic. Whilst we do not agree fully with all the views these professionals may offer, none of the those mentioned in Medium’s list would intentionally place you in harm’s way and their advice is offered with your wellbeing as the sole motivation. The same cannot be said for the individuals on Medika’s list.

The Covid ‘Medical’ Scam Artists Top 10 List of 2020

1. Kelly Brogan: At number 1 for good reason. Her growing reach and influence belie her message. She is a new age conspiracy theorist/alternate health ‘expert’ and a qualified (currently unregistered) psychiatrist gone bad. The worst kind, who feeds off the misery and mental conditions of her patients for profit and fame. 2. Sayer Ji: Included at number 2 as he has the questionable distinction of being married to Brogan. A health food salesman with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Rutgers, he runs the pseudoscience, anti-vax website GreenMedInfo.com, which attracts over a million visitors a month. His support of Brogan, ties to QAnon, and his promotion of their dangerous and misleading narrative earn them both the distinct dishonor of top spot. Avoid, unfollow and move on
3. Zach Bush, MD. Bush now enjoys his own page on our Quack Scale. An interesting inclusion on the list. Triple board-certified and until recently widely respected within the medical community, his use of science and his medical credentials make his abuse of office and position all the more reprehensible when it comes to diluting the dangers of Covid-19. His newly discovered spiritualist beliefs in an existence beyond this one encourage him to espouse a view of embracing death as an expansion of consciousness. His vocal criticism of Covid-19, which occasionally raises valid issues, has been completely compromised by his views on our ‘journey to the light’. Visit his site and once you’re done taking in his Covid-19 advice, you can shop to your heart’s delight from the range of products he recommends. It would appear not even three medical degrees are a good enough substitute for a paying affiliate stream. A particularly dangerous and beguiling individual. By all means, hope for life after death, just don’t expose yourself to Covid-19 in an effort to achieve it.
4. Christiane Northrup, MD: With 108 000 followers on Twitter alone, Dr Northrop has reach and is recognized as one of the leading voices in Women’s Health.Northrup’s Facebook post of the fake documentary Plandemic catapulted it out of QAnon groups and into mainstream social media. As with Dr Bush, she raises certain valid points on aspects of the pandemic, only to discredit her voice by siding with fringe elements. This association is dangerous and lends credibility to organizations that should simply be banned for the harm they do to healthcare and the health of individuals or their ability to access care. 5. Dr Joseph Mercola: Dr. Mercola went hog-wild on Covid, recommending a smorgasbord of products and therapies claiming to help treat COVID-19 through his website. Check out his news archive, where you can get a sense of the range of therapies he was pushing, from beets to sweet wormwood to antacids and vitamin C. According to the CSPI, he even advised consumers in a podcast episode and an online article “that intentionally contracting the virus after consuming purportedly immunity-boosting supplements would confer greater protection against COVID-19 than a vaccine would. A complete and utter crock of shit that encouraged people to infect both themselves and others. 6. Dr Judy Mikovits: She obtained a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from George Washington University in 1991. In a recent video that exploded on social media, the virologist claimed the coronavirus is being wrongly blamed for many deaths. She makes head-scratching assertions about the virus — for instance, that it is “activated” by face masks. The video is an excerpt from the movie Plandemic, which promised to “expose the scientific and political elite who run the scam that is our global health system.” Both her association with and support of Plandemic and her unsubstantiated views on Covid-19 make her a dangerous and unreliable source of information to be avoided. 7. Dr. Richard Bartlett: Dr. Bartlett claims that he has discovered a magic bullet for the treatment of Covid-19, an existing asthma medicine — inhaled budesonide, a corticosteroid — whose success, he suggests, negates the need for a vaccine. His claims are unsubstantiated outside of the scope of his limited experience with his own patients and ignoring and diminishing the importance of a vaccine, which would prevent infection in the first place, is also hugely irresponsible. As any doctor should know, rigorous trials are required across a large group of patients to accurately establish the real efficacy of any treatment. He has also made various unsubstantiated and false claims about the more widespread use of budesonide in Asian countries as a standard treatment. It would not appear Dr Bartlett has any nefarious intent to spread misinformation, merely that he has preempted a possible treatment in an irresponsible fashion and without due concern for established clinical process and the wellbeing of the broader community.
8. Dr Stella Immanuel: A Texas-based Nigerian born doctor who highlighted the use of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), suggesting it was the only thing required to cure Covid-19. Medika is of the belief that there is value to the use of HCQ as a form of early intervention if used in conjunction with other treatments. The drug has however been tainted, both politically and within the industry, and is now effectively buried. Dr Immanuel is a pastor of her own church in Texas and readily mixes science, religion, spiritualism, and esoteric beliefs. She is no stranger to controversy and once again, the undesirable mix of science, new age magic, and religion simply added to the controversy surrounding HCQ. A potentially useful treatment that has now been lost.
9. Dr. Sherill Sellman (featured on Medika’s Quack scale here): This naturopathic physician is a real piece of work. She currently faces legal action and cease and desist letters from both the FDA and the New York Attorney General’s office. Her recommended cure of colloidal silver for Covid-19 included products offered for sale on her website. Colloidal silver has no proven effect on the coronavirus and can cause serious side effects including permanent discoloration of the skin. Dr. Sellman serves as an excellent example of the following. Never make the mistake of confusing a medical qualification with honesty or integrity. Neither of the latter are prerequisites for the former.
10. America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLD) (read our latest expose, 2021/13/01, on Simone Gold, MD the founder of this dangerous group, here): An organization fills No 10 and you’ll soon see why. Not to be confused with the AAFP. The Academy is in no way affiliated with this group. The AAFP is a partner in America’s Front-line Physicians — the Group of Six(www.groupof6.org) — a coalition that advocates for evidence-based care. America’s Frontline Doctors are in no way connected. Here are 7 of AFLD’s founding members, in no particular order;

AFLD’s agenda is interwoven with right-wing politics to the extent that the two are almost inseparable. The doctors listed above have no actual proven exposure to Covid-19 patients and as such are not in a position to make the outrageous claims they make relating to treatments and the opening of the countries economy and schools. Three of the doctors do not actively practice and two are ophthalmologists, hardly what you’d call a glowing recommendation and referring to themselves as ‘America’s Frontline’ is disingenuous and insulting to the real physicians that risk their lives daily on the forefront of Covid-19.

It is disrespectful to the thousands that have died and to our young doctor, Adeline Fagan, who selflessly made the ultimate sacrifice to protect her patients. Avoid both the organization and the doctors associated with it and should you encounter them or the doctors involved, unfollow, unfriend and de-platform.

The tip of the iceberg

Sadly, this isn’t a complete list, not by a long shot. Many other quacks and medical charlatans continue to operate openly and without consequence, spreading disinformation and false hope, mostly for the purposes of self enrichment. Sadly, one of the areas most prone to this is psychology, but that is another post for another day.

Hopefully, this list will offer you a little more insight into the mechanisms employed by these individuals and help you avoid them in the future. Their biggest sales tools are your desperation and your fear. They sell to this, they speak to this, they encourage it and they abuse these emotions for their own gain. Never forget that.

Finally, there is one last additional test you can apply to these individuals which will invariably expose them. It isn’t foolproof, but rather an additional tool in your “bullshit arsenal”. Use it when needed.

The Goodness Guide

Goodness is the one thing con artists and misleading marketing cannot fake, not for an extended period of time. Most doctors — there are many of them — who enter the profession motivated by a desire to help their fellow humans, exude this goodness. It cannot be faked convincingly and their overwhelming desire to assist their patients is obvious in all their actions. Good doctors are born to their profession. Want an example?

Read his articles. They are filled with compassion, care and genuine concern for his patients. He is quick to speak out against injustices in the profession, issues that affect his patient’s access to healthcare, in defense of minorities and in favor of equal opportunity. He is consistent and he is genuine. You cannot fake this and on a subconscious level, we can all recognize it. This is what I refer to as Goodness. Let it guide you.
